Haoji, the world's longest heavy haul railway for north-to-south coal transportation, had transported over 20 million tonnes of cargo in the first quarter this year, reaching 20.19 million tonnes, according to state media CCTV.
As of March 31, Haoji railway had completed loading of 233,400 trucks and operated 6,519 freight trains. This provided reliable transport capacity to ensure national energy security and socio-economic development.
Haoji railway, stretching 1,813.5 km, starts from Haolebaoji South Station in Inner Mongolia and extends south to Ji'an Station in Jiangxi. It passes through seven provinces, including Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi.
Over January-March, China Railway Xi'an Group Co., Ltd. implemented reforms in the logistics organization system, optimized transportation structure, and vigorously expanded the freight market.
